WORLDWISE provides eco-friendly, appealing toys, scratchers, beds, and accessories to help pets and pet parents bond. As head of the Design Department, Sara took products from concept to completion, creating research decks, sketches, renderings, textile designs, tech packs, CAD, and engineering handoffs.

RESEARCH
Sara interviewed industry experts, cat behaviorists, and pet parents; performed consumer research on competitive landscapes; and analyzed color, pattern, and material trends.
CAT TOYS
Indoor cats live 4x longer than their outdoor cohorts, but a cat will always have an instinctive need to hunt, even if her food bowl is full. A stimulated, well-exercised cat will age better and stay healthier. Feature-rich SMARTYKAT and PETLINKS brand cat toy collections for Target, Walmart, Petco, and Petsmart use sound, light, motion, faux fur, and/or feathers to tap into a cat’s most basic need to hunt and play.
BIG PICTURE OR DETAILS? Both matter and both were kept in mind when designing cohesive collections for Specialty and Mass accounts. Planograms were created to give complete offerings for customers. Within each collection, each product (like this Flappy Owl) was designed and engineered to intrigue and delight.
SCRATCHERS
Come for the spinning feathers, stay to scratch. WORLDWISE CAT SCRATCHERS use mechanical and electronic motion to entice even the most reluctant scratch post user.
Below are versatile scratchers (scratch + groom, scratch + rest), new constructions for compact retail footprint, mixed materials for picky cats, and refillable materials for thrifty pet parents.
DOG BEDS
Worldwise dog beds feature different constructions and fill materials (fiber, memory foam, cooling gels, etc.) to meet different dog resting needs. Textile prints were inspired by fashion-forward and trend-right color palettes and patterns.
