Hi there!
SARA PACULDO is a Bay Area designer, educator, and design problem solver. She has designed award-winning toys, housewares, and pet products.
As an undergraduate, she studied physics and worked on experiments to test general relativity and to determine the age of the universe. These were interesting, but she found that she would rather work on more utilitarian, handheld projects. She designed kitchen tools for a small start-up while earning an MFA in Industrial Design. After graduating, she designed eco-friendly cat toys, dog beds, and other pet accessories. Most recently she designed toys made from recycled plastic. She’s written and illustrated board books, drawn thousands of sketches, 3D printed models, and crafted product families from initial concepts through to production. When she’s not designing, she enjoys building things, teaching elementary school, propagating succulents, and spoiling her rescue pets.
Sara is open to opportunities in industrial design, education, sustainable design, graphic design, illustration, art education, and more. She’d love to hear from you. Email her at sara@paculdo.com
